The show definitely starts a little rough. In the pilot especially, Castle comes off as the typical rich playboy, and Beckett plays the cardboard cutout “stoic cop”. As the season continues however, these cliches swiftly fall away.

Created by Roberto Orci, and Alex Kurtzman, the film’s screenwriters/producers, this four-part mini-series fills a gaping hole in the timeline left by the movie.

Religion is Bad, Science Will Kill You, Put Your Faith in Puppets by Joel Champagne Tim Burton’s 9 must be a movie for kids. Not because of the animation, or the simple characters, or the 79-minute length. But because there is a slim chance that a child may not have seen this story dozens of […]

The Journey Home by Joel Champagne Well, I’m back home after deciding to skip Sunday of the Con. There was really nothing that interested me today, besides Supernatural. I love the show, but with the late afternoon time slot and none of the actors showing up, I couldn’t really get psyched about going. Also, my […]

The Late-Night Heat by Joel Champagne So after my laptop died, there were only two events left in my night. The first was the panel for True Blood, and the second was the screening of Torchwood: Children of Earth. It was a rather odd night, as both series were fairly unknown to me, but judging […]

V by Joel Champagne Warner Bros. showed an amazing screening of V, the new sci-fi series starring Joel Gretsch, Morena Baccarin, Scott Wolf, Morris Chestnut, and Elizabeth Mitchell to name a few. The show is just astounding. It has some pretty excellent effects, and the acting is top-notch. Having never seen the original series, I can’t […]

Animation Station by Joel Champagne Cartoons were the name of the game this afternoon. Family Guy and its offspring The Cleveland Show were first. Seth MacFarlane showed us a ton of clips, beginning with “I have a bad feeling about this,” the Family Guy spoof of The Empire Strikes Back. Though only a small segment […]

A rendition of “Fat Bottomed Girls” performed by Chuck‘s very own Jeffster. The crowd erupted into cheers as the cast and writers filtered in. […]

Saturday Morning Edition by Joel Champagne The downside to having such wonderful sleeping conditions (thanks to the amazing generosity of the Smiths) is that when you have to get up early, it makes it that much harder. However, the lines are long and pitiless, bowing to no man, regardless of press credentials. I manage to […]

Arrival by Joel Champagne When the freeway is too slow, RedFence provides alternate means of transportation. The Con seems different this year. Maybe it’s the four hours we spent in traffic to get here; maybe it’s the fact that it’s no longer all new to me. Of course, it might be the ravening hordes of […]
