Air Bear
New York street artist Joshua Allen Harris builds whimsical creatures out of trash bags and enlists the power of public air vents to bring them to life. We couldn’t find much info about Harris other than his videos (which have touched off some buzz at BoingBoing, Digg and many Big-Apple-based sites in the last few months) and his YouTube channel.
We did find a minor interview by New York Magazine that at least shows the artist’s face.
The reactions of New York pedestrians encountering litter-turned-art-projects can be almost as entertaining as the ‘living’ sculptures themselves.
“Everybody loves it. It’s magical,” Harris said in the interview vid. “It’s what art is about.”
