Smallville Sneak Peak
by Joel Champagne

(I managed to distract a Line Nazi, and ninja into the Smallville panel.)

Season 8 for the WB series Smallville, promises to have a lot of exciting events for the budding Superman. From the scenes they were able to reveal to us, several things are gonna be happening.

-The writers admitted that they will be amending the “no flights, no tights” rule. They say there will still be no tights, but Clark will finally get off the ground.

-There will be a new villain this season. Sam Witwer will play a paramedic David Bloon, who starts experiencing blackouts. It’s a large change from the comics, but he will become one of the baddest villains in the Superman Universe. (Hint: It rhymes with Boomsday)

-There are going to be more wraiths running loose.

-The Fortress of Solitude was destroyed. Whether from attack or not remains to be seen.

-Clark will start to accept the “Superman” mantle more in this season. Hopefully, this means less whining, and more ass-kicking.

-The Justice League will be becoming more of a real force this season. Smallville is working with DC to bring a lot of the big names into the show. I vote Batman beats him like a red-headed stepchild.

Sounds like it’s making its way back towards the comics, and less of WB teeny drama. We can hope so anyway.
